Roadside Safety
The IMI Road Safety course is 3 days in duration and aimed at Specialist Tyre Fitters involved with working
on the roadside. Candidates must have completed a recognised course in Heavy Vehicle Tyre Fitting and possess good communication
skills.
Successful candidates will receive an IMI Quality Approved Award in Roadside Safety. As well as being recognised
throughout the Motor Industry, this qualification will also count as a credit towards the Nationally recognised Technical Certificate
in Vehicle Fitting and will satisfy the underpinning knowledge requirements of the Vehicle Fitting NVQ.

Safe removal and replacement of road-wheels
IMI assessment and test
A multi-choice theory question paper
Three practical assessments, observed by an IMI approved assessor.
