Oxy-Fuel Safety Course Outline


The IMI Oxy-Fuel safety course is 1 day in duration for up to 6 candidates and can be ran at your own premises*.  It is aimed at Technicians involved with using oxy-acetylene gas equipment in the workplace and covers a before use inspection in line with then British Compressed Gas Association Code of Practice CP7. 


Successful candidates will receive an IMI Quality Approved Award in Oxy-acetylene safety.  As well as being recognised throughout the Motor Industry, this qualification will also count as a credit towards the Nationally recognised Technical Certificate in Vehicle Fitting and will satisfy the underpinning knowledge requirements of the Vehicle Fitting NVQ.

IMI assessment and test       


A multi-choice theory question paper

Practical assessment, observed by an IMI approved assessor.
